When a delivery is stuck, a wave fails, or a putaway is refused, the answer is almost always buried in a combination of config, stock, process, and a quirk of this particular site. Senior warehouse consultants carry that knowledge in their heads. There are not enough of them, and their time is expensive.
Smart Warehouse learns a site's personality over time and becomes the first stop for shift leads, junior consultants, and ops teams. It rarely solves the problem on its own. It is very good at telling you exactly what to look at next — with receipts.
